Let's start the journey to the northern part of Colombia, where the Wayuu people live in a desert called La Guajira. Weaving is an integral part of their culture, a skill passed down from woman to woman. They hand weave crochet bucket bags that symbolize a mother's belly. The bags are started from the bottom center and woven in a spiral pattern until they reach the top, using a single continuous thread.

They also crochet various shapes of bags, accessories, handles, and strings, as well as hammocks.

You can select from our designs and customize the colors to match your collection, or create a design from scratch.
